SRIHER bettered its rankings and standing in the country as well as globally and is now planning a foray into South Asia with our advice.

The client, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER), Chennai, a top 5 medical university in India was aiming to obtain the Institute of Eminence (IoE) recognition announced by the Govt. of India as well as be among the top universities in the Times Rankings and QS rankings.

The evaluation had to consider multiple criteria including proving the current standing in terms of facilities, faculty, research, academics, funding, international recognition, employer reputation and presenting a 15-year strategic plan to attain international standards as well as 5-year implementation plans

Camomile was mandated to help the SRIHER in the entire transformation planning process.

Camomile put together a multi-functional team of international medical education experts and carried out the following,

• Internationally recognized university ranking methodologies (like QS world) were used to benchmark SRIHER against world class medical universities
• SRIHER’s current position in areas of impact like state-of-the-art infrastructure, academic reputation, employer reputation, international students and faculty, citations and others was analyzed and presented
• Targeted yearly improvement in rankings were arrived at and goals to be achieved for the same were detailed with global benchmarks
• An effective implementation plan to achieve these goals was put together with the expected year wise capital outlay. Funding sources to be utilized were recommended.

• The vision & mission and values & goals of SRIHER were realigned to suit an Institute of Eminence and to achieve improved global ranking
• SRIHER successfully demonstrated their capabilities and 15-year strategic plan to MHRD for consideration of the IoE status
• The plan has also helped SRIHER internally to set targets, make new strides and improve their NIRF and QS University rankings considerably
• Camomile also advised SRIHER on expanding their international presence by establishing campuses in Sri Lanka and other parts of South Asia
