Situation

Our client was evaluating options to strengthen its footprint in the National Capital Region and entrusted Camomile to evaluate an oncology-focused hospital for acquisition and transformation to a multi-specialty hospital.

Intervention

The target hospital has an existing capacity of 200 beds and with potential for future expansion.

Key objectives of the assignment are :

Evaluate the suitability of the hospital to convert into a multi-specialty hospital

Patient perceptions to visit a Oncology Hospital for services like OBG, Gastroenterology, Orthopaedics, and Cardiology

Evaluate the Hospital and its existing medical technology and equipment

Estimate the capex for the revamp and to meet the clients’ standards for care and infrastructure

Evaluated the regulatory aspects for the expansion

Impact

Comprehensive report prepared and presented to the CEO and the Board of Directors

Mapped the potential bed capacity to the infrastructure. Additional 125 beds were mapped to the existing infrastructure.

Recommended the CAPEX to be incurred

Estimated the additional Floor Space Index (FSI), possible with and without the additional corporation approvals.
